@CitySurvivalist Couldn’t you just circumvent those devices by using a glass cutter to cut a whole around them and then extracting them without fully breaking the glass?
I think that door brace bar is a wonderful idea.
I never even heard of such a thing before I saw this video.
I live in a top-floor apartment, so my windows are not easily accessible except by ladder – unlikely to be attempted without rousting lots of suspicion.
The only easy access to my apartment is the single front door, so I think that door brace would do nicely. I’d still like an alarm though in case of a kick-in while I am away from home.
@billyshob most glass cutters require impact after scoring the glass which is going to set off the alarm. If your intruders are sophisticated enough in their technology and techniques to defeat this simple measure then you already know that your level of risk requires a more robust set of countermeasures. also you can find models with adjustable sensitivity for just a bit more money.

check out the OnGARD door brace on youtube. Maybe of interest.
What happens during a storm or other strong wind scenario whereby the wind rattles your windows, do the alarms go off?

A hi tech burglar could jam those wireless alarms
@CitySurvivalist I had one of those vibration sensors years ago… It went off every time a truck went by

@Thepockets88 its not meant to be a 100% stopper, its a meant to be difficult to get in, so you can get away or get your firearms.
